Omonia came out the better in the top of the table clash in Cyprus against Anorthosis winning 1-0 courtesy of an own goal by the Anorthosis Slovakian forward Michael Duris.in the second half.

Omonia were the winners of the weekend’s top of the table clash against Anorthosis thanks to an own goal scored by the visitors’ Slovakian striker Michal Duris early in the second half. Anorthosis are still top one point ahead of second placed zomonia.

Champions Apoel who had not scored in their last three games defeated bottom of the table Doxa Katokopias 3-0. the goals coming from two from Tomas de Vincenti and one ftom defender Giorgos Merkis in the the first half gave Apoel the three points.

Third-placed Apollon were down to a second minute goal  to Ethnikos whose goal came from  striker Kone but Apollon fought back to go into the break leading 3-1 with goals from Matel, Benashop and Papoulis.

AEK returned to winning ways with a 3-1 win over AEL Ivan Triscovski scored twice from the penalty spot with AEL’s Hurado reduced the scote to 2-1 Akoran made sure of the points for the Larnaca team 15 minutes from the end.

The two other games ended in 1-1 draw Enosis were leading through an Abardjounian goal  Nea Salamina’s Kinglsley  scored to equalize t

hree minutes from time.
