(Massay 3, Doukhi 2)

St Panteleimon put in an entertaining and assured performance against Shefford Town and Campton FC to secure another three points and stay top of the Spartan Division One, with their 13th win of their 18 matches.

Good flowing football through playmakers Guilherme Monti and Noyan Tajbakhsh allowed Courtney Massay to open the scoring on 16 minutes. Shefford replied within 9 minutes, levelling the score.

Then before the break Massey added a spectacular finish to make it 2-1 at half time. The Saints were bouncing into the changing rooms knowing it could have been more, and eager and hungry for the second half to start.

The second half was just as action packed as the first, with both teams playing a skilful game. It was substitute Ahmed Doukhi with his first touch that make it 3-1. An excellent curling cross from the right from Ayub Albadri with the outside of his left foot, was met at the near post by Doukhi to beat the keeper.

Massay got his hat-trick with a high and unstoppable finish, in the 75th minute.

The game saw a debut for the Saints from
left-footed Kevin Strutt, who showed composure and skill on the ball.

It was then 5-1 in the 80th minute, when Doukhi showed exceptional skill, as he went past players and shot high to make the game certain. Shefford pulled one back to make it 5-2, but the Saints were happy to be back on winning form.

They lead Division One by 5 points, with handsome +37 goal difference.

Next Saturday, 14th, the Saints are away at Amersham Town.
