The Cypriot football League is taking a turn with a shock defeat for Apoel losing to Olympiakos 2-0 who won with two goals coming from Duventru in the 35th minute and Kiko in the 83rd minute it was Apoel’s first defeat in the league this season and they are still in the Europa league but still sacked their manager Thomas Doll after only being with Apoel four months.

Top of the table Anorthosis beat AEL 2-0 with goals from Rayo and Kacharava Anorthosis are level on points with Omonia who have an inferior goal average and beat Doxa 2-0 with their goals coming in the first half from Bautheac 19th and Ortega in the 22nd minute.

Third placed Apollon beat 3-1 all four goals coming in the second half through Pittas 52nd minute, Zelaya 58th minute and Markovic 70th minute AEK got their goal in added time through Taulemesse. also resulting in the AEK manager Imanol Idiakez getting sacked.

Pafos beat New Salamis 1-0 with a goal from Arajuuri in the 58th minute which is the second defeat of the season for New Salamis versus the Pafos side. The red’s also had Christoforou sent off in the 59th minute.
