AEK U11s
AEK v Edgware Town.
A competitive match with two evenly balanced sides playing good football. AEK took the lead with an excellent Kyri free kick into the top corner and doubled the lead with Deen racing through and with a one on one, calmly slotting bast the keeper.
Edgware came out in the 2nd half with purpose and were fortuitous to get back in the game via an AEK own goal. Their second came from a corner with AEK failing to clear the ball.
A great game with good quality from both sides, played in good spirit with plenty of encouragement from parents and coaches.

Challenge  cup on a very muddy pitch that was really borderline on being playable. The first half was scrappy affair. The second half the boys came out determined and dominated the half but unfortunately they could not covert our chances and lost game 1-0

Aldenham Excel Eagles FC (1) AEK Youth FC (0) This was a reverse fixture at their ground, due to the long running saga of the Latymer pitches continually being waterlogged over the last 3 weeks. The team started brightly and worked hard to gain possession and move the ball around well despite the bumpy conditions. This created quite a few early opportunities for us, but unfortunately we did not convert the two main one-on-one chances we had. The opposition then managed to score a very soft goal from a cross shortly after, which highlighted our lack of focus on marking. Despite being a goal down, we managed to continue to apply pressure and was unlucky not to get a goal back before half time. A few substitutions were made for the second half, which included a change to our keeper due to an on going knee injury. However, we still managed to continue with our passing game around the different areas of the pitch and retained possession well.
As the game wore on, tiredness set in which considerably reduced the number of attacks on the opposition goal and we sadly ended the game not being able to get the deserved equaliser we were due.
MOM: Jake Cohen.
AEK U17s Black (1) Borehamwood (2) AEK  had a competitive game against Borehamwood, narrowly losing AEK created plenty of chances but today we were not our usual clinical self in front of goal. Some weeks that just happens. There was 100% effort from every player in challenging conditions.
