You need to register to be able to vote in UK elections. You can do this at any time by visiting GOV.UK and using their online registration service.

It only takes five minutes to register and the only details you need are your:

  • name
  • address
  • date of birth
  • National Insurance number

The deadline to register to vote in the UK parliamentary General Election, which takes place on 12 December 2019, is 26 November.

Once registered, you can also choose to vote by post. The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on 26 November. The deadline to apply to vote by proxy is 5pm on 4 December.

Enfield consists of three parliamentary constituencies – Edmonton, Enfield North and Enfield Southgate. Once you are registered to vote, you will be sent a poll card which will tell you your constituency and where you can vote in person.
