Sunday 27 October 2019 saw the Greek/Cypriot community come together for an evening of celebration at London’s Penridge Suite.

London Greek Radio celebrated its 30th birthday with celebrity singer, Stelios Chiotis, flying from Cyprus to perform at the event.

Lucy Loizou, Partner in The International Family Law Group LLP was one of the after-dinner speakers at the event. Lucy, who has had her own fortnightly family law radio show on the station since 2010, addressed a packed audience on how the station has helped to shape her into the professional she is today and make her the “go to divorce lawyer” for Greek families.

She said: “The station has been and continues to be the pinnacle and backbone of our community. I stand here this evening with immense pride, as we collectively celebrate the station’s 30th birthday. My involvement in the live broadcasts has helped me to increase my legal profile in the Greek community. I have developed, strengthened and grown as a family lawyer alongside the show that I am so proud to be part of. I am indebted to our radio station and look forward to the next 30 years.”

Lucy’s family law show, broadcasts live every alternate Wednesday evening from 7.15pm. Lucy takes calls and answers emails from members of the community who contact the studio to ask questions about all aspects of family law. All callers are anonymized and are never put live on air. Questions are taken off air and then comprehensive answers and general information are given on air to help callers and all others’ listening in. The next show will take place on 13 November 2019 on LGR 103.3FM from 7.15pm onwards. Lucy speaks Greek fluently.
