Detectives investigating a  nasty assault on board a Victoria Line train in north London are today appealing for witnesses to get in touch.

The assault happened at approximately 7.40am during the heat of the morning rush hour on 16 September.

The victim, a man in his thirties, asked another man to be quiet after he was shouting loudly. The man then punched the victim several times to his head, causing a cut to his inner lip, laceration to his eyebrow and a dislodged tooth.

A 28-year-old man from Walthamstow was later arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm. He has since been bailed as further enquiries continue.
