We have an aspiring young natural bodybuilder amongst our Greek Cypriot community. 19-year-old Costakis Evangelides from North West London has always enjoyed participating in sports and fitness. At the age of 16 he realised after joining his local gym that he had a talent and passion for Bodybuilding, health and fitness. After lots of dedication and a gruelling 4-month competition preparation;
Costakis decided that he wanted to step on the bodybuilding stage. He entered his first natural body building competition in the Juniors category (18-23 years old) in August of this year and although the youngest of the group at 19, Costakis took 2nd place.
This opened the door for Costakis to go to the British Championships which were held in Scotland this September. Entering the teen category, Costakis persevered and secured the first place trophy naming him, The Best Teen Bodybuilder in Britain 2019. Costakis competed in the British Natural Bodybuilding Federation one of the largest natural bodybuilding federations in the world.
This qualifier gave Costakis the opportunity to compete in the Drug Free Athletes Coalition World Championships held in Miami, USA. However, as he has just qualified as a personal trainer he has decided to focus on establishing his career and share his wealth of knowledge with others who want to excel at their own health and well-being. He will continue his bodybuilding from 2020. His friends and family are extremely proud of this achievement and everyone would like to wish him luck for the future.
