Saints back to winning ways in wet Greenford

St Panteleimon 4 Langford 2 Tajbakhsh 2, Albadri, Massey

The Saints got back to winning form today on a wet, slippery and fast pitch at home in Greenford. St Panteleimon needed a decent result after two league draws. And things started badly with a 6th minute goal for Langford.

Despite plenty of possession the Saints could not score. Monti coming close and Massey almost getting on the end of a hard low cross from Tajbakhsh. The conditions suited the Saints play, but they were not moving as fast as normal. Half time words were said and they must have done the trick, because quickly after the restart Tajbakhsh levelled for the Saints.

Then in the 58th minute a penalty for the Saints which was calmly put away by Tajbakhsh for his second. The Saints started to play and moved the ball wide and quickly. But could not kill the game off. The visitors scored again 2-2. But then in the last 6 minutes the Saints pulled out an astonishing win with two beautifully taken goals by Ayub Albadri and Courtney Massey. 4-2 to St Panteleimon. 3 points and 9 ahead on top of the league. Unbeaten in 13 games, won 10 and drawn 3.

Next Saturday the Saints play away to Wodson FC, in Ware.
