Hillingdon Borough 1 – St Panteleimon 1
A hard fought draw for both sides. The game was patchy, with neither team finding a rhythm. The first half saw a few Saints chances going wide or over. No player stood out.
0-0 at half time meant that changes needed to come in the second half. And they did.
The Saints brought on Ayub Albadri who has been out injured for a few weeks. His pace troubled the Hillingdon defence.
Then in the 75th minute a good cross from the left found Albadri who created a opening and finished well to make it 0-1.
The Saints should have increased their lead but instead hung on for some tense moments, giving away free kicks in dangerous areas. Then in the 90th minute, a penalty for the home team was converted to make it 1-1 at full time.
Still unbeaten after 11 games, the Saints have 9 wins and 2 draws.
But there is no time to draw breath. St Panteleimon are away to Stotford on tonight Tuesday , and then at home to Langford on Saturday 12th October.
