Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a fatal collision in Finsbury Park.

Police were called at approximately 13:20hrs on Tuesday, 24 September to reports of an HGV in collision with a pedestrian on Seven Sisters Road, N4.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers have named him as 76-year-old Javaid Ahmed Sheikh from Wood Green in Haringey.

His next of kin have been informed.

The lorry driver stopped at the scene.

Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing. There have been no arrests.
