A murder investigation is underway after a man died following a shooting on mid-September.

Officers were called at 09:27hrs on Tuesday, 17 September to reports of a man suffering gunshot injuries at a residential block in Lansdowne Road, N17.

The man – 33-year-old Mark McCann-Barrett from Waltham Cross – was taken to an east London hospital for treatment. He died in hospital on Monday, 30 September.

His next of kin are aware.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place at Haringey Mortuary on Thursday, 3 October.

On Saturday, 28 September Louis Kelly, 39 (02.04.80) of Belgrave Gardens, NW8 was charged with attempted murder; he is due to appear at the Old Bailey today (Wednesday, 2 October).
