Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an elderly UK Cypriot woman was found collapsed and suffering injuries in Palmers Green.

Officers and London Ambulance Service were called shortly after 13:00hrs on Tuesday, 13 August after the woman, aged in her 70s, was found part way down on the steps of a footbridge over the North Circular Road (A406) between Connaught Gardens and Ostliffe Road, N13.

The woman was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition; her next of kin have been informed.

Work continues to establish how the woman came to receive her injuries. Early information suggests she may have fallen over.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who can provide any information to help establish how the woman came to be injured, is urged to call police on 101 and quote CAD 3845/13Aug.
