The football season begins for Barnet, New Salamis and St Panteleimon

After a long summer of no league football and just international games the season begins for most clubs this week.

In the National Vanarama begin their season with a home game versus Yeovil 3pm at the Hive this Saturday then on Tuesday they are away to Sutton. Barnet really need to push for promotion to the football League. They have a good manager in Darren Currie and good players around him which include a UK Cypriot Antonis Vasiliou who has impressed in pre season friendlies.

For New Salamis and St Panteleimon its a new journey for both clubs with their debuts in the Spartan South Midlands League and both clubs will be looking to competing with each other. Both teams have done really well in reaching this stage.

New Salamis promoted as runners up in the Herts Senior County Premier League have their manager and assistant George Georgiou and Andrew Kouroushi will be looking to keeping up the momentum with the addition of some new players. New Salamis first match is this saturday away against Hillingdon Borough and then Tuesday 6th August away to Enfield Borough.

St Panteleimon St Panteleimon after winning the Middlesex Senior County League have their manager George Frangeskou well prepared with a good solid squad.

They have their first game this saturday away to Milton Keynes Robins and Tuesday at home to Rayners Lane 7.45 pm at their home ground in North Greenford.
