The mighty Mouflons Cyprus Rugby team played their first pre-season friendly, against Eton Manor Rugby RFC on Saturday 10th August 2019.The game was held at The Eton Manor Rugby Club in Wanstead s very challenging game for the Cyprus team in a great friendly atmosphere in front of several fans from both sides in which Eton Manor won 30-10.
The Cyprus team included many UK Cypriots some travelled down from as far north as Yorkshire. Some triallists were also included.
The Cyprus team play in Europe: European Nations Cup Conference 1 – South: 2018/2019 that includes Croatia, Malta, Isreal, Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Their next game is versus Croatia in October their last match was versus Bosnia & Herzegovina which they won 23-22.
The Cyprus rugby team made history when they broke the world record for the most consecutive international rugby union wins with 24, which was ended on 15 November 2014
