Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Haringey.

Officers were called at around 14:15hrs on Wednesday, 31 July to reports that a nine-year-old girl and her mother, aged 42, had been hit by a motorbike on Green Lanes, outside of Harringay Green Lanes station.

Both were taken to hospital where their injuries were deemed not life threatening.

The motorbike, which was travelling towards the Manor House area, did not stop at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who can identify the rider or who has information about the incident to come forward.

Detective Constable James Byrne, from North Area CID, said: “This was a horrific collision in which a young girl and her mother were left lying on the ground requiring medical treatment.

“We are releasing an image of a motorbike rider that we are very keen to speak to and urge anyone who has further information concerning this individual to get in touch.
“Any witnesses, especially those with dash cam footage, should call police on 101 with CAD reference 4066/31JUL.”
