Police were in Hertford Road, Edmonton, N9 after being called to reports of a stabbing at 13.36hrs on Sunday, 4 August.

A male in his 20s was taken to hospital, after he reported being approached by a group of males who demanded he hand over his bike.

When he refused, the victim was stabbed. He was taken to hospital by colleagues from LAS where his injuries have been assessed as non-life threatening.

Six males [no further details] have since been arrested by officers on suspicion of assault and remain in police custody.

A section 60 covering Lower Edmonton, Haselbury, Edmonton Green, Upper Edmonton, Enfield Town, Southbury, Ponders End, Jubilee and Bush Hill Park has been put in place between 14:30hrs today until 04:00hrs tomorrow, Monday, 5 August.
