Cypriot beach volleyball players Mariota Aggelopoulou and Manolina Constantinou won on Saturday the silver medal, at the MEVZA tournament that wrapped up in the Slovenian city of Mokronog. They were beaten in the final by the Croat team of Radanovic and Vrbac with 1-2 set.

In the same tournament, two more Cypriot players, Zoyia Constantopoulou and Erika Zembyla won the bronze.

According to the Cyprus Volleyball Federation, Aggelopoulou and Constantinou won the first set with 21-17 and took the lead, however the Croat team came even in the second set with 18-21 and won the match with 9-15 in the tie break.

In the other game, Constantopoulou and Zembyla played against the Czech team of Dzurendova and Svobodova and won in the small final with 2-1 set.
