Cyprus police released Sunday seven Israelis, who were held on suspicion of gang raping a 19 year-old British woman.

According to the police, following the results of the investigations and the relevant telecommunication data, there was no evidence against the seven or even findings that they were involved in the case.

The complainant was summoned Sunday by the police to Famagusta Headquarters where she changed her testimony, saying that she voluntarily had sexual intercourse with the young Israelis.

The same sources said that she told police that when she realized that some of them were recording her, she felt angry and made the complaint.

The 19-year-old woman will appear before the court on Monday facing charges of false statements.
