Once again there is an extensive calendar of activities and courses on offer across the borough aimed at 8 to 19 year olds (up to 25 for people with learning difficulties and disabilities).

This summer will see more than 70 exciting courses and activities available to young people who are living or being educated in the borough.

This year’s programme, which runs between now and 23 August 2019, includes courses such as performing arts, music production, cooking, water sports, and circus skills.

Every year more than 2,000 young people take part in the council’s 0-19 Positive Activities Programme.

Councillor David Longstaff, Chairman of the Children, Education and Safeguarding Committee, said: “Once again there is a fantastic array of activities on offer this summer. They are always hugely popular so I would encourage anyone who is interested to take a look at what is on offer and to get involved.”
