Three fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a fire at a restaurant on Wandsworth High Street in Wandsworth.

Part of the ground floor was damaged by fire. There were no diners at the time of the incident. Eight people living above the restaurant left the property before the arrival of the Brigade. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 2031 and the fire was under control by 2111.  Fire crews from Wandsworth, and Tooting fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
