Detectives investigating a violent robbery at London Waterloo station are today releasing CCTV images of two men they wish to speak with in connection.

The incident happened at approximately 6.15pm on 24 March.

The victim had boarded a London Overground service earlier than afternoon and travelled to Canada Water station where he joined a westbound Jubilee Line service. During the earlier journey, two men were staring at him, and stood directly behind him on the Tube.

At Waterloo station, one of the victim’s Apple wireless headphones were forcibly removed on the escalators by the same two men.

The victim followed the two suspects, challenging them, however he was then assaulted by one of the men on Mepham Street. The two suspects then ran off towards Waterloo Bridge and the IMAX.

DC Vanessa Cadrecha-Paolucci, said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim who refused to let two men take his items, however this sadly resulted in him being punched a number of times. We simply will not tolerate this on the Tube network and are today looking to identify the men in this CCTV image. I believe they hold vital information so would urge anyone with information on who they are to get in touch.”
