Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was attacked with a bottle during a parking dispute.

Officers have also released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak with in connection with the assault.

Police were called at approximately 18:25hrs on Monday, 28 January to reports of a fight on Myddleton Road, N22.

Officers attended and found an 18-year-old man suffering from a neck injury caused by a broken bottle. He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital for treatment; he has since been discharged.

A second man, aged 21, was treated for minor injuries.

Acting Detective Sergeant Duncan Layton, from the North Area Command Unit, said: “This was an innocuous argument about a parking space which descended into violence.

“Fortunately, the victims did not sustain serious injuries but this could have been a lot worse.

“I am appealing for anyone who recognises the man in the image, or who saw what happened, to come forward and speak with us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers based at Wood Green via 101 quoting reference 6052/28Jan.

A 34-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the investigation was later released with no further action.
