UK Cypriot from Winchmore Hill jailed for indecent assaults on children under the age of 14.
Demosthenis Philippou born 1940 from Winchmore Hill was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment at Wood Green Crown Court on May 17th 2019.
He was found guilty of six counts of indecent assault on a girl of under 14 between 1966 and 1976.
He was also found guilty of four counts of indecent assault on a boy under the age of 14 between 1978 and 1985.
He was known as Themos (David) Charalambous and he wasn’t from Winchmore Hill, he used to live in Carterhatch Road, Enfield about 30/40 years ago with his wife and two daughters. He sold his clothes factory about 30 years ago then immigrated to Cyprus, Limassol. He was recently extradited back to the UK but will be serving his prison sentence back in Cyprus.
