Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire in Beresford Road, Hornsey. One man was rescued via a ground floor window and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service. Part of the ground floor was damaged by fire.

The Brigade was called at 1624 and the fire was under control by 1723. Fire crews from Hornsey, Holloway and Tottenham stations attended the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
