The President of Georgia awarded Mr. Photos Photiades posthumously with the Presidential Order of Excellence for his valuable contribution and merit towards establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Cyprus.

Since the establishment of the Georgian Embassy in Nicosia, he had been our ally, supporting us in every way. His valuable support is remarkable, as it established the firm ties that were necessary for our diplomatic representation in Cyprus.

Mr. Photos Photiades adored Georgia. He visited our country several times and, as inspired as he was, supported strongly free trade between our two nations.
