Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 2126hrs on Monday, 8 April to reports of a male assaulted at Church Road, E12.

Officers attended. At the scene a male, aged 20s, was found suffering from what are believed to be knife and gunshot wounds.
Despite the efforts of medics, the male died at the scene.
Enquiries are underway to trace next of kin.
A post-mortem will be scheduled in due course.
A crime scene has been established and officers remain in the area conducting enquiries.
The Homicide and Major Crime Command has been notified. At this early stage there have been no arrests.
The community can expect to see an enhanced police presence in the area following this incident and people are encouraged to speak with officers if they have any information which could assist the investigation or if they have any concerns.
