The Saints season continues to new heights. In the semi final of the Alec Smith Cup, they beat Pitshanger Dynamo 3-1 at Berkeley Fields, Greenford.

As we head to the finish of the season, the Saints are now in contention for a league and cup double.

Pitshanger pressed on the left wing and created a few crosses and space, but could not trouble the Saints.

Half time came and the crowd anticipated increased energy in the second half. It came, in the form of sweet passing moves and in the 60th minute Monti got his second with the goalkeeper stretching and unable to reach a low shot.

The match was sealed with a tremendous long shot from Ray Oliveira looping over the keeper, and giving the Saints a comfortable but deserved 3 -0 cushion.

A late penalty from Pitshanger pulled one back, but the Saints held on and excited the fans even more when Ayub Albadri hit the cross bar.

The finalists will be the Greek Orthodox founded team, who have embraced over 6 nationalities in their team.

A good all round performance today, but special mention goes to Michael Frangeskou who played like a lion across the back, and Guilherme Monti, whose touch, vision, passing and finishing was breathtaking.
