THE EPTAKOMI ASSOCIATION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM had  the launch of the book by Leonidas Leonidou Eptakomi-Place and People Greek Cypriot Brotherhood Centre in North London last Thursday 7th March 2019.

Distinguished guests were Cyprus Consul General in the UK Theodoros Gotsis, Father Damianos Constantinou represented  Archbishop Gregorios of Thyateira and Great Britain. Father Iosef Paliouras, Father Yiorgos Nicolaou and General Secretary of the Greek Cypriot Brotherhood Andreas Karaolis and several members and friends of the Eptakomi Association..

The Chairman of the Eptakomi Association Nikos Yiannoulou opened the event followed by a short speech by the Cyprus Consul General in the UK Theodoros Gotsis.

This was followed by a speech from Father Yiorgos Nicolaou from Bristol who was a priest in Eptakomi at the time of the Cyprus 1974 troubles.

 Maria Papalouca(Educational Counselor of Cyprus High Commission,Head of the Cypriot Educational Mission in the UK) also spoke about the presentation of the book.

The author Leonidas Leonidou then gave a synopsis of the book and presented audiovisual material from his multi-year research on the subject.
