Sofia Karvela, daughter of superstar Anna Vissi and Nikos Karvelas, has dismissed rumours she is pregnant with her third child, but refrained from answering if she has separated with the father of her two children, Thanasi Panourgia.

Speaking from New York, where she resides, Sofia addressed reports in Greek gossip magazine Ciao, which suggest she is expecting a child with her new French partner.

She said, “I am curious as to why some people from my beloved Greek community are publishing a story about a woman living on another continent who is only interested in her work. I have still not accepted that I am the daughter of two well known and highly talented people. Might I add that I am also a great fan of theirs with sincere interest like that of strangers who want to learn what is happening in my personal life. Anyway, my parents are not going to become grandparents for the third time.”

 Replying to a question if she has separated, she said, “No comment. Isn’t that what celebrities say? Peace to all the world.”
