Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a maisonette on Oakley Road in Islington.

Part of a third floor maisonette was damaged by the fire. One woman left the property before the arrival of the Brigade. She was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and shock.

The Brigade was called at 1331 and the fire was under control by 1517. Fire crews from Shoreditch, Stoke Newington, Euston and Bethnal Green fire stations attended the scene.
