Former Emmerdale star Gemma Atkinson and Strictly Come Dancing pro Gorka Marquez have revealed they’re expecting their first child together.
The couple, who met on Strictly in 2017, revealed the news on Instagram on Friday. Gemma posted a photo of their two dogs holding signs saying: “Guess what, mum’s pregnant, we’re going to be big brothers!”

“And what amazing big brothers they will be,” she captioned the snap. “Myself and Gorks are beyond excited and happy and feel incredibly blessed to be meeting our new family member later this year. Baby Marquez! We love you loads already.”
She later followed it up with a message about her love for Gorka. She wrote: “Thank you all so much for your lovely messages. We’re so excited for this journey ahead and feel very lucky and very much in love. Thank you.”

Dancer Gorka, 28, posted the same image of the pooches on his Instagram account and wrote a caption praising his gorgeous partner: “@glouiseatkinson Thank you for the greatest gift in life. Myself and Gem are beyond thrilled to be welcoming our new family member later this year! Baby Marquez.”

The couple confirmed their romance last year whilst they were on the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour.
Gemma was partnered with Aljaz Skorjanec on the BBC One ballroom contest and reached the final but behind-the-scenes she fell in love with Gorka – who had been partnered with singer Alexandra Burke.
