Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a range of allotment sheds in Creighton Avenue, East Finchley.

The sheds were destroyed by fire. Firefighters cooled five 25kg gas cylinders and removed them as cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.

The Brigade was called at 0238 and the fire was under control at 0527. Fire crews from Finchley and Hornsey fire stations attended the scene.
