January is typically the time for list making and planning, being well and truly into the New Year resolutions have been made, repeatedly attempted, in a kind of eat, sleep, repeat rhythm as we fall into life’s routine. Our advice…never give up and always strive for progress and self-betterment!

The team always endeavours to improve on every CyWineFest, however constraints at times appear getting in the way of progress, but these restrictions can be used advantageously. One such restriction was how to create a more authentic Cypriot al fresco environment, solution: move to Lee Valley Athletics Centre where the outdoor area is like a little park which we’ve utilised by creating various pockets of activity and yet there still so much potential.

Visitors past and present always look forward to CyWineFest and since 2019’s event was announced, the question on everybody’s lips is ‘Who are you bringing this year? They are referring of course to the main act, not surprising giving that some of the best Cypriot and Greek singers of our time have performed centre stage!  Given that January is the unofficial list making month, it was only proper that CyWineFest compelled our own list. Over the last decade we have brought countless stars to perform at the biggest Cypriot event outside of Cyprus and our portfolio will continue to grow; we are in fact currently in negotiations, thus it was appropriate for our list to serve as a little reminder of the artists that have graced our stage over the last decade.

Countless starts have appeared live on our main stage including but not limited to the singers named above, one such is the talented Greek singer/songwriter Pantelis Thalassinos to outstanding performers of the industry like George Dalaras. We’ve hosted Eurovision winner Elena Paparizou and last year’s act Konstantinos Argiros whom both made their first appearance in the UK. Stelios Dionisiou, Despina Vandi, Keti Karbi. Not to mention our Cypriot portfolio with fantastic award-winning band Monsieur Doumani, singers such as Stavros Konstantinou, Evi Kapatai performing as a compelling duo as well as the community’s very own Sarbel who performed on two occasions, once as a solo act and the other with one of the most adored Greek singers of all, Glykeria and finally the Cypriot singer whom has achieved legendary status, Anna Vissi!

CyWineFest is renowned for many things, the unlimited Cypriot wine sampling tables, uniting the community under one roof and exporting Cypriot culture, filled with kid zones and a host of various exhibitors with wide-ranging products and services and of course bringing the best performers from the world of Greek music. Whoever it is, they have a lot to live up to CyWineFest’s hall of fame! As well as delivering a fantastic line up of dancing groups from both Cyprus and the UK with dozens of community acts all competing for more stage time, well it’s only natural since it is not every day that one has the opportunity to sing in front of thousands.

The event is set to be a record breaker with more and varied performers, increased exhibitors as the field of interest keeps on growing, drawing even more deserved attention from outside of the UK and Europe.
