The top of the table clash between AEL and leaders Apoel at the Tsierion stadium on Sunday took centre stage this weekend .AEL were looking to overturn a 4 game winless run against Apoel in Limassol and return to the top of the table, a position they held before the champions leapfrogged over them, when they lost to Anorthosis in their last game of 2018.

It didnt happen though Apoel came away with a 1-0 away win with a 55th minute Morais penalty.
Both teams finished the game with ten men each when Texeira got sent off for AEL and Nick Ioannou for Apoel.

Apollon take over the second spot after beating Ermis Aradippou away 3-0 their goals coming from Zelaya 6th minute, Sardinero 42nd minute and Carayol in added time.

Omonia beat Nea Salamina 3-1 with the game’s goals coming in the second half with a Omonia taking a two goal lead with both goals coming from Kolovos in the 59th and 65th minute New Salamis scored in the 69th minute with Thiago before Ramiresz scored in the 73rd minute to ensure Omonia won.

Anorthosis beat Enosis Neon Paralimniou at the Antonis Papadopoulos stadium 2-0 their goals coming in the 2nd with Kacharava and in the 61st minute with a Pranjic penalty.

What an exciting game was Alki Oroklini versus Pafos ending 3-3. the bottom placed team Pafos led twice during the game at 1-0 and 3-2 their goals coming from Angulo, Karo and Cools. Alki’s goals came from Spoljaric and Starokin.
