Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were attacked and stabbed in Edmonton.

Officers were called at 23:46hrs on Saturday, 12 January to Fore Street following reports of a group of males fight in a McDonald’s restaurant.

London Ambulance Service also attended and two men, aged 20 (victim 1) and 18 (victim 2), were found suffering injuries.

Victim 1 was taken to hospital for treatment to a slash injury to his leg; his condition is not life threatening.

Victim 2 remains in hospital for treatment to stab injuries to the back; his condition is serious but stable.

Officers from the North Area Command Unit investigate and work continues to establish the motive for this incident.

Detective Sergeant Chris Anderson who leads the investigation said:

“I am appealing for anyone who was in McDonald’s, or the area around the restaurant in Fore Street, between 11:30pm and midnight to contact police if you have information that could assist this investigation.

“It appears at least three males armed with knives rushed into the restaurant and attacked the two victims.

“We believe they may have been in the vicinity of the restaurant for around 15 minutes prior to the attack.

“If you saw this group, or witnessed or filmed the attack or its aftermath, please contact police immediately.”
