started with an incredibly tough cup fixture against the team top of the red division, yet to lose this season. Unfortunately we could not change that today and lost 4-0. However took away some positives as we matched them for periods and had some chances. In the end their class shone through. But that is the magic of the cup weekend !

U16’s AEK Youth FC Golds 5 – 2 Belstone FC 2
Following on from the last victory before Christmas, the players were in a great mood to add to that win despite only having one available sub due to illness and mock exam studies. Even though the opposition only had 10 men, the team started brightly and managed to score two quick goal and dominate the play. Unfortunately they let the other team get a goal before half time due to poor marking and so a reminder was made at half time that three points was necessary against 10 players. They started well again and scored a further two goals before letting them get another goal back which set up a frantic last 15 minutes. Thanks to great saves by Yianni in goal we were very lucky not to concede more. A final goal was scored near the end to seal the victory and start the year with a win. Scorers: Jordan Conway (3), Alexander Barbe and Nicholas Tofallis
MOM: Yianni Morfoulis (GK).
