Detectives investigating a violent assault which left a man with a number of serious facial injuries are today releasing CCTV images in connection.

At approximately 4am on 4 November, a man approached a group of males on the underground platform at Liverpool Street station. The group of males then became physically aggressive the victim, a man in mid-twenties.

He was knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked and punched. Police officers attended and arrested three men in connection.

Officers are today releasing CCTV images of four other men they believe may have information which could help them investigate.

DC Oliver Carne from BTP, said: “This was a seemingly unprovoked assault and I’d ask the four men in these images to come forward and make contact. Likewise, I would be keen to speak with anyone who recognises these men. If you have any information then please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

“The victim sustained a number of nasty facial injuries, including a fractured cheek bone as well as a fracture to his skull and eye socket.”

A 30-year-old man from Kingston-Upon-Thames, a 26-year-old man from Oxfordshire and a 26-year-old man from Havering, were each arrested on suspicion on GBH. They’ve been released under police investigation as enquiries continue.
