AEK U10s v Whetstone Wanderers in cold and windy conditions. An entertaining match with lots of good, quality goals, some great defending, excellent range of passing and fine finishing.
Goals from Deen (2) Henry (1). MOM Henry Isaacs- an all-action display in different positions and a great goal for his hard work.
AEK U16’s Gold team 4 – 2 Brady Maccabi FC White team. Following on from last week’s draw , the team wanted to start the match on a high. The game play was even for the first 20 minutes but they then conceded a sloppy goal shortly afterwards. Despite regaining the momentum they let in a poor second goal against the run of play. This sparked them into life and after a few near misses they managed to peg one back before half time. After another moral boosting team talk they came out with a renewed vigour and dominated play immediately and it was not long before they scored an equaliser. This then led to 2 further goals to gain the lead. With more constant pressure they were unlucky to increase the scoreline and finished the match well on top. GoalScorers: Alexander Barbe (3) MOM: Pavlos Chalkis.
AEK U16 Black 0-0 Edmonton Rangers.
A well earned point albeit another key player picked up an injury which is not helpful as we have two very tough cup games coming up over the next two weeks. Really pleasing to see the whole team step up to the challange today as several were playing in different positions.
AEK U18 Golds 5 Wingate & Finchley 3
