Cypriot shooter Neofytos Nikolaou won the bronze medal at the Para-Trap Shooting World Championships, in Lonato, Italy.

Nikolaou came third with 25 points in the final round of PT1 Trap Mixed Seated SG-S event, behind Australia`s Brydon Scottie who was first with 36 points and Italy`s Lai Oreste who came second with 31 points, a Cyprus Shooting Sport Federation press release says.

Cypriot shooter Raphael Markoullis finished seventh with 88 points in the PT3 Trap Mixed Standing SG-U event and Nicos Demetriou came sixteenth with 78 points in the PT2 Trap Mixed Standing SG-L final.

Trap shooting was only recognised by World Para Shooting last year.
