A woman and her mother have been jailed following an assault inside a pub.

Melissa Millard, 22 (17.10.95) of Clarkes Avenue, Worcester Park and Paula Millard, 49 (13.06.69) of Gander Green Lane, Cheam were found guilty at Croydon Crown Court on Tuesday, 16 October of causing grievous bodily harm.

They were both sentenced to five years’ imprisonment.

Police were called to The Harrow pub on High Street, Cheam at 23:00hrs on 31 December 2016 following reports of a woman assaulted.

Officers attended and found a woman, aged in her 40s, suffering from multiple injuries after being attacked by two female suspects.

The victim was taken by London Ambulance Service to a west London hospital for treatment to facial injuries and serious injuries to her wrist.

The Millards were arrested in connection with the assault before being bailed to a date in late March.

They were charged in March 2017.
