Detectives investigating an allegation of sexual assault on a bus in the Muswell Hill area of Haringey have issued an image of a man they would like to trace.

The incident happened at around 20:00hrs on Thursday, 15 March, as the 40-year-old victim sat on the W7 bus.

The suspect boarded the bus at Stroud Green towards Muswell Hill and stood next to her – he then allegedly sexually assaulted her.

The victim was able to take a photo of the man with her mobile phone.

He is described as a clean shaven white man, aged approximately 60, with an English accent. He was wearing a baseball cap, round brown glasses, long dark jacket and multi-coloured scarf.

Detective Constable Jo O’Connor, of the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, said:

“We are releasing this image in a bid to trace this man – this was a shocking incident targeting a lone woman who was travelling on the bus.

“If anyone has any information that could help us identify this man then please get in touch.”
