youth who admitted stabbing a teenager outside a tube station has been sentenced at the Old Bailey.

The 14-year-old boy from Woodford Green pleaded guilty to GBH at the Old Bailey. He was sentenced on Friday, 14 September, to four and a half years’ imprisonment.

Police were called at 17:29hrs on 15 March to reports of a stabbing outside Woodford Underground Station, Redbridge.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found an 18-year-old man suffering stab injuries. He was taken to an east London hospital for treatment to stab injuries to the abdomen. He has since been discharged from hospital.

Detectives from East Area CID investigated. A 14-year-old male was charged on 24 March. He pleaded guilty to GBH at the Old Bailey on 14 September.

= Four other males were arrested. Charges against them were discontinued at court.
