The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued an extreme high temperature warning for August 15.

According to the yellow awareness level warning that was issued on Tuesday and is valid from 1100 until 1600 local time on Wednesday, the maximum temperature will rise to around 40 degrees Celsius inland.
