The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for extreme high temperature, for Friday.

A press release issued on Thursday afternoon says that the warning is valid from 0100 local time (2300 GMT) Friday until 1700 local time (1400 GMT) on Friday.

Tonight the minimum temperature inland, on south and east coasts will drop to 26 degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow the maximum temperature inland will reach 40 degrees Celsius.
