Police have seized a number of items including 90 rounds of ammunition, a bullet proof vest and £3000 worth of class A drugs, from two addresses in North London.

 

During the early hours of Thursday, 19 July, officers from the Violent Crime Task Force, in conjunction with the Central North Command Unit, executed warrants at two addresses in Central Islington, North London.

The teams discovered the bullet proof vest and drugs inside one of the properties, the ammunition was found in the other.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Chief Superintendent Ade Adelekan, head of the Violent Crime Task Force, said: “This seizure is the result of an ongoing investigation and reinforces our commitment to combat all levels of violence and violent offenders in London.

 

“We will continue to seek and bring to justice those responsible and remain steadfast in our pledge to make our communities safe places for everyone to live and work.”
