Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of an elderly man who is missing from Edmonton.

Marcus George, 74 (01.08.43) was known to have travelled to Calais in France, on Tuesday, 26 June, via a DFDS ferry from Dover, but has not been seen or heard from since that same day.

He was travelling with a 34-year-old friend in a black Audi with the registration MF02 LCV.

Marcus was reported missing by the friend who had accompanied him on the trip, after the friend returned to the UK and was unable to get hold of him. It is possible he has subsequently returned.

The vehicle is also missing.

Marcus is described as a black man with a Caribbean background, 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build, with short black hair.

He has links to the Tottenham and Edmonton areas, as well as connections with Wales.

Officers would urge anyone with information on his whereabouts, or Marcus himself if he is safe and well, to call police via 101 or Missing People on 116000.
