Two Cypriot Australians  were honoured in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday Honours for Australia. Presented on 11 June by the Governor-General, Sir Peter Cosgrove, the three honourees represent a wide variety of professions, disciplines and services.

Natalie Anne Kyriacou  (OAM) — For service to wildlife and environmental conservation education.

Panayiotis Hadji Kyriacou (OAM) — For service to the Cypriot community of Darwin

Natalie Kyriacou is the Founding Director of My Green World and the Creator of World of the Wild mobile game app. She has enjoyed a rich and rewarding career as both a wildlife and environmental advocate, entrepreneur and freelance writer. Her work has been published in various journals and she has been recognised as one of Australia’s 2015 ‘Social Pioneers’ by the recognised as one of Australia’s 2015 ‘Social Pioneers’ by the Foundation for Young Australians, Griffith University’s ‘Finalist for the Outstanding Alumni of the Year Award’, and a Finalist for the ‘Victorian Young Achiever Award’. In 2015, Natalie was recognised as a ‘Top 50 Leading Conservationist in the World’ in Lori Robinson’s book.
