A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Haringey.

Police were called at 2147hrs on Saturday, 9 June, to a seriously injured man in Green Lanes N15 near to Turnpike Lane station.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the location.

A 35-year-old man was found suffering stab injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers believe they know the identity of the man and are in the process of informing next of kin.

Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

An investigation has been launched by detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command. An incident room has opened at Hendon.

Cordons are in place at the location and local roads are closed. The crime scene includes Ducketts Common, where officers believe the victim may have been stabbed.

There has been no arrest at this early stage.
