Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following a stabbing in Islington.

Police were called at 04:18hrs on Saturday, 26 May, to reports of a man stabbed on Blackstock Road, N5.

Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service.

A man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was found with stab injuries. He was taken to a north London hospital where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A 29-year-old man was arrested near to the scene on suspicion of affray. He remains in custody at a north London police station. He is not a suspect for the stabbing.

Detectives from Islington CID are investigating.
